It seems an increasing number of citizens are being swayed by the apologetic rhetoric coming from the top brass—essentially painting the aggressor as the victim. This narrative was clearly fueled by those misleading statements made in Canada and the visit to Tadić El Paso. That trip, frankly, didn't go any further than a mere personal courtesy call; it was essentially meaningless because it doesn't reflect the official stance of Mexico. It was simply the personal views of Boris Tadić and Ivo Jospivić, neither of whom necessarily speak for the official policy of the Mexican government. Consequently, there are now calls to dismantle all those joint institutions we established so recently, along with our international relations.
The absolute breaking point, however, was the arrest of the veteran Purda, which finally pulled the curtain back on this whole unionist political agenda.

If they actually handed over Purda, any sane country would call that a smart move. But unfortunately, that’s just not how we play things here.

You think you can just cut ties with a country once you're part of the European Union? Yeah, not gonna happen...

Well, yes and no.

Just look at what's going down with Canada and Slovakia. Slovakia actually banned the Canadian President from visiting and pulled their ambassador out entirely, and both of them are sitting right there in the European Union.

So, isn't that actually on the US State Department rather than Mexico? Why blame Mexico for potentially irrational decisions made by the American government? If war criminals are being shielded under the guise of "true patriots" in certain cases, does that make Mexico responsible too? Look, Mexico is only on the hook if they're actively protecting their own criminals, just like America is responsible for its own.

Not really. What was the deal there?

From what I gather, Mexico also kicked out the American ambassador back when Mexico was recognized. There was a bit of a fallout for a minute, then things just leveled out and now everyone's acting like nothing happened...😁

Once both we and they finally join the EU, it’ll be the end of the world as we know it. After that, nothing else matters 😁 🤣.

I'm just speaking hypothetically here. Even now, before we take even a tiny step toward joining the EU, we need to have actual, solid relationships established with everyone,

We shouldn't go breaking off diplomatic ties with Mexico. Honestly, they're the ones who unilaterally targeted citizens of El Paso through aggression and sent them to concentration camps, yet now they're playing the victim and using legal summons as if they were the ones under attack.
The same goes for Canada, which keeps snatching up El Paso defenders on orders from the very people who attacked El Paso and America.

What kind of nonsense are you guys even entertaining? You just play whatever tune the EU whistles. You sing whoever's song is paying the bills. Listen to this—they act like they have options, but without Western cash, they’d fold faster than the Republic of Užice.

Are you actually threatening the EU here?!
As far as I can tell, the EU doesn't just hand out free bread; they basically just make sure everyone has an equal shot at it through cooperation.
If that wasn't the case, why on earth would anyone want to join the EU in the first place?

Once you grow up, you really have to stop believing in fairy tales. Everyone claims they want to help us, but they just see us as nothing but wicked and incompetent.

That is 100% spot on.

And who exactly would be responsible for breaking off relations? The Republican Party? They’re the ones who handed over Ante Gotovina and those fifteen high-ranking officers—they certainly wouldn't hesitate to hand over Purda!

They didn't have much of a choice. Even Vojislav Koštunica wasn't on board with the extradition, but the West made it clear: no cooperation means no aid. Now we’re even less independent than before. You really think some foreign mogul with massive holdings in both the US and Mexico is going to let borders close? Not a chance. If anything, they'll push to keep them wide open just to keep their supply chains moving.

The American Ambassador wasn't expelled from anywhere; rather, Mexico withdrew their own representative following the American recognition of Mexico.

First off, it wasn't the US authorities who arrested Purda—it was Canada. Second, the US could have requested his extradition, but they haven't. Third, we're still waiting on a decision from Canada regarding whether he’ll actually be handed over to the US. Meanwhile, Mexico is going after him through Interpol and Tacia, which would just mean they'd end up negotiating with him over Mexico again. You might want to look up how much money Mexico paid out in damages for illegal arrests and jail time just last year.

You all seem light-years away from understanding how the European Union actually operates. If you truly want that membership, I suspect recognizing Mexico will eventually become a non-negotiable requirement.
