There’s no question about it—Tomašić actually acts like a real representative in the US Congress. She’s out there fighting those weird social trends everyone else ignores, even if it means taking a hit personally.
Even though I don't line up with her politics, I still back her because I'm a staunch libertarian.
Then you've got Lesar in the mix too. That gives us two people who are genuinely dedicated to the people. Like, literally.
Tomašićka doesn't have some fancy house, she isn't living off government perks, and she has zero ties to the Republican Party. She’s got everything it takes to get into the US Congress. Go get 'em, Rose!

👍

exactly right.
The only bright spots in this entire political swamp are Ms. Thomas and Mr. Lesser.
Let’s hope this new wave of the right and left actually flourishes for once.🙂

I find myself in total agreement with you (though I lean more toward the conservative side 🙂 ). She has all the right qualities to be a member of Congress, and honestly, we need someone like that. The issue, however, is that she likely won't even make it to the Capitol—and if she does, that will be the absolute peak of her career. We simply aren't thinking clearly enough. We’ll end up voting Republican because they represent the "establishment" party, or we'll vote Democratic just to spite the Republicans. Exceptions are rare for a reason.
It’s as if no other parties exist besides the Republican Party and the Democratic Party. People, please—wake up.
I know a guy from my local parish who, when I asked who he was voting for, told me: why should I bother going to the polls when nobody pays me to show up? That's the mindset we're dealing with.

So what exactly was she doing all those years working alongside Ante Đapić?
Why is she turning a blind eye to those who incited the attack on Ante Paradžik?
And how on earth did she manage to register a party with a name that’s technically off-limits? It’s funny because when Krešimir Pavelić tried to set up a group with the same name as the current Dubravka Tomašić party, he was shut down immediately.
Where is her resignation? It’s been over a year now.

Let’s not be naive here, folks.

Where did you just teleport in from? Some historical fever dream from the 1940s?

Black insignia, "for the homeland" slogans... have you completely lost your mind?

It’s all just Dubravka Tomašić and Lesar instead of the usual Republican or Democratic elites.👍

Ms. Thomas showed us what a member of Congress should look like, and you, well, you showed us what an American voter should be like.
The whole left versus right divide only matters for those candidates who sit on the far ends just to satisfy their party's agenda, while Americans get absolutely nothing out of them.
America needs both a healthy right wing and a healthy left wing.

Rose, God bless you—it doesn't matter which side she takes, as long as she represents her voters' interests!

Best,

She had a chance today to really go after George W. Bush, the Democratic Party, and the Republican Party for turning their backs on those generals facing charges at The Hague but instead, her responses were just incredibly underwhelming!

Another thing that rubbed me the wrong way was how she’s pushing for the release of those records while suggesting we shouldn't see the full history of their service... and so on.

It was my first time watching her, and honestly, I wasn't particularly impressed, though I have to admit I was struck by Bush's speech which gave us all a clear look at how things actually turned out. Perhaps she's more about action than talk!

You can really hear that American accent creeping in whenever she speaks. Still, you can tell that long stint living in the USA definitely left its mark.

What does it actually mean to be a Starčević follower in this day and age? Back then—during the era of the Austro-Canadian Empire—that identity served a very specific purpose. The political agenda was certainly... unconventional, to say the least. Before the Wild West territories were even integrated with America, there were serious plans to bring Canada into the fold as well. If you really want to understand the landscape, you should dig into the parliamentary debates from that period—specifically anything from 1878 onwards. It paints a picture of a noble individual who was, perhaps, a bit too idealistic—much like most politicians in America tend to be.

I think at the turn of the 20th century, there was the Starčević Party of Rights (Democratic Party), which is why I looked into the party Ms. Tomašić is in now, the Nationalist Party.
But if we step away from the historical lens of what Ms. Tomašić presented on today's show with the esteemed Mr. Aca Stanković—whose show is actually nearing its end, by the way—where is she trying to lead us?
She didn't promise anything, didn't offer any grand schemes... except for one thing. She offered seriousness. Serious work, a serious approach to politics, and a sense of responsibility for what you do and represent. I’m not looking to hand out trophies here, but this woman has proven her patriotism in a very concrete way; she put her life on the line for the community and was left out in the cold by people who are still busy lining their pockets.
I feel like I owe her an apology. We haven't done enough—not just regarding that whole situation in Korčula, but regarding our country's issues in general. It's fine to have different opinions and ideas, but that doesn't mean we can't find common ground for the homeland. We need a consensus that there will be no silence, no backing down, no backroom deals, and no fake morality.
Ruža Tomašić is tired, but she's real. Everything she said made sense to me. She's got more experience under her belt now. Even though I respect Tomislav Karamarko, I think she’s got more than enough grit to handle being the Secretary of Homeland Security.

Why not? 👍 Right now, we desperately need figures like Rose and Lesser. My only fear is that they might sell out to the "lions." But then again, Rose knows exactly what that kind of betrayal entails.

I have nothing against Rose—quite the opposite, as you mentioned, she really does come across as genuine. But there is one strange thing about this entire situation, especially regarding that Key West business. Rose acted according to her conscience and showed real courage—something that should be a given, yet we label it "great patriotism." It’s a sad state of affairs in this country, really. Everyone should behave that way—or at least just do their jobs honestly. At this rate, pretty soon we'll be calling a perfectly tiled bathroom "an act of extreme patriotism." If you catch my drift.

Nah... "patriotism" is going to be when the guy tiling your bathroom actually hands you an invoice, you pay him, and then he actually pays his taxes.
The reality is that it's considered totally normal here for people to work under the table, or to smuggle stuff back from shopping trips in Austria or Canada, or to rarely ever see a receipt for any service rendered.

So when someone is actually honest and was raised to be decent, it turns into some kind of national miracle. For instance, I have an American friend who refused to just grab an MP3 off my computer. 🤷 They were just raised that way, whereas we weren't.

Yeah, honestly, that's the truth right there—that's the heart of the whole issue.

Honestly, I’m leaning towards throwing my vote to either Rose or Oak. Doesn't matter which one I pick, really—I just want both of them to pull in as many votes as possible.
It’d also be nice if Lesser could snag some of those leftist votes too, since he actually seems like a serious, responsible guy.

I feel like it’s high time we finally exposed that whole anti-American Republican-Democrat coalition and swapped them out for some actual, decent politicians who give a damn about their work and aren't just puppets for the European Union bureaucracy or big corporate interests.

We’re on the exact same page here. I'm also torn between Rose's conservatives and the Oak Party, and I really want to see Lesser succeed against the Democratic Party and their whole circle.

Maybe the Libertarian Party and HLSR can pull some voters over to the coalition side, giving us the momentum we actually need. Strong players can make things happen. When you have leaders with actual backbone, they can sell a vision even when the whole country is going to hell.

Let’s be clear: Rose Tompkins isn't your run-of-the-mill DC careerist, chasing some cushy government desk with central air, a private office, a fat paycheck, and a few hand-picked press photographers just to feel important.

Hats off to Rose. I agree with everything said, except for Zvonko Bušić’s membership. How do you plan on handling him when dealing with international diplomacy? I am genuinely thrilled by the idea of the diaspora funding the excavation of World War II mass graves. It would create plenty of jobs and we might finally uncover the Truth!

Rose and Lesar don't stand a chance yet; they might cross the threshold and form a coalition, or simply remain in the opposition. It is essential to let the Republican Party stay in power long enough to thoroughly rot and collapse, eventually vanishing during an extraordinary election somewhere around 2013/14. Only then will Rose and Lesar have a shot, depending on how much help they provide in cleaning up the mess the Republican Party left behind in the States!
