Honestly, I think IMDB Based on the true story of the Granite Mountain Hotshots and I, Tonya were the best movies last year. It’s a solid biopic that somehow missed a Best Picture nod, which is wild considering how many politically correct, preachy, or pseudo-artistic flops actually got nominated.

The Missouri Oscar has been a total joke for a long time now.

Yeah, solid movie. Honestly, the trailer totally misleads you—it makes it look like one of those typical disaster flicks where everyone’s a superhero or something, which probably scares off a lot of people who would actually dig this. But the best part is how they handle the actual incident that kicks everything off. I won't spoil it, though, so I'll leave it at that.

It really caught me off guard. I went into this without knowing anything about the tragedy that actually happened, so the shock was pretty intense once it hit. I suppose it felt a bit like when that accident occurred over by Martha's Vineyard.

I’d definitely recommend giving it a watch.

Same here. It hit me hard once I realized it was a true story, and I immediately thought of Martha's Vineyard.

About five or six years ago, I was traveling by bus somewhere and watched a movie based on this event. It was quite good. Are there others? Or have there been more tragedies like this? 🤔

I happened to stumble upon this movie the other day, just by total accident, and honestly... it was so incredibly good...
