Wait, when did Alfa Romeo actually get their engine development sorted out? I have this vague memory—maybe I'm just misremembering—of people talking about them making a big comeback last season.

Hey, don't go fueling those Mario fanboy spikes; Alfa Romeo is the title sponsor for Sauber.

Taking a page out of the Force India playbook, Sauber really ought to bounce back from the bottom and act as a driver and tech testing ground for Ferrari. I'm keeping a close eye on them.

What are you even talking about? Whether you call them Alfa Romeo or Sauber, they are running the latest spec Ferrari engines. Therefore, Alfa Romeo is using their own power units. Ferrari is part of the Fiat group, and Fiat has its hands deep inside that engine design. You could quite literally say Alfa Romeo uses their own engine because Alfa Romeo and Ferrari are essentially one and the same. Razmes ????

If we are going to dig into the deep history, Alfa Romeo and Ferrari are one entity; Ferrari was born out of Alfa Romeo!!.

Fiat, Fiat, and nothing but Fiat built that PU. Just shove that into your fucking heads. If Fiat tells Ferrari to do something, they have to do it. Do you people understand me? For God's sake.

Look, I know there was some disagreement regarding the car builds, but let’s be clear: Mercedes actually sought technical guidance from the FCA group during the development of those new diesel engines. In plain terms, FCA sold specific technology over to Mercedes. That's just how it happened.

Tomorrow, we get a glimpse of the marvel from Maranello, alongside whatever magic Mercedes has cooked up.

I’m feeling particularly optimistic about Ferrari, and you might ask why. It’s simple: the crew has perfectly aligned their wind tunnel simulations with reality, everything is clicking, and frankly, they pioneered the very tech everyone else is currently scrambling to copy.

I can't wait to see that red monster in action.

I mean, honestly, after watching that absolute train wreck of a mess involving BMW, Sauber, and Ferrari, nothing else in this sport can actually surprise me anymore. At this point, I feel like I've seen everything.

Where do you guys even live???
Suddenly, an Alfa Romeo running a Ferrari engine is some kind of massive shocker to you all 🤦

But I don't recall anyone throwing a fit when Red Bull was using a TAG engine or when Toro Rosso ran their own unit, right? 😁
And honestly, the most ridiculous part is that nobody even blinked when Renault (Lotus) was basically just a shell for a Mercedes engine 🙂

Exactly! At this point, you could call McLaren an Alpha just as easily as you could call them Red Bull tag or even Acura back in the day. They're just title sponsors and nothing more (nothing less).

mellowtiger83 said:Marcus Ericsson! A driver who actually has experience under his belt.

I almost forgot—Charles Leclerc is going to absolutely embarrass Ericsson in qualifying. Leclerc is quite simply a qualifying specialist.

Leclerc has managed to secure wins and pole positions in just about every series he’s ever entered, from his early days in karting right through to now.
In fact, Leclerc finished just behind—get this—Max Verstappen in the World Karting Championship. And we all know the level of engine support and sheer privilege Max had in that category of motorsport.

Leclerc is a driving phenomenon. Mark my words. You are witnessing pure driving genius; you are witnessing the birth of a superstar. Consider yourselves lucky.

Where did Giovanni go? I actually liked his vibe.

Obviously.

Finally, a single brain cell showing up among this sea of racing illiterate idiots.

All hail the GOAT. The absolute legend who practically invented the perfect racing line.

Just so we’re all clear from here on out—this is who the absolute legend of legends is rooting for

I have seriously never been this hyped—or impatient—to see the NASCAR season kick off

That comment was actually about your intelligence, so you're right about that.
