Decent movie. It drags a bit at first, but I guess it would have been silly to jump straight into the action anyway.

Personally, I don't think most of these movies have what it takes to be true masterpieces. They put in enough effort to make them decent enough to watch and fun for an evening, which—let’s face it—is usually their peak achievement. I'd say about half of them would probably land a 6/10 from me. The rest? They'll get something lower, with only the rare exceptions earning anything higher.

It is true that the execution felt a bit shallow and the pacing was rushed. I suppose it could have been two grades better because Operation Venom is such an intriguing character, BUT the movie is still great to watch. I doubt anyone would dislike it, except maybe those "elite" critics who only enjoy watching the Sunday afternoon news when Plenković is on, since they seem to love his polished, perfectly articulate way of speaking.

The filmmaking could have been improved; if they had put more effort into the plot and added some darker Operation Venom action, it would have been fantastic. As it stands, it’s just a fun, lighthearted movie—something for popcorn, a joint, or a beer. 7.5/10.

If there ends up being a sequel, I hope it stays true to this. 👍

One of the dumbest superhero movies I've ever seen. Barely made it to the credits without passing out.🍿

Honestly, this is better than Ant-Man 2, though saying that isn't exactly a glowing review since Ant-Man 2 was absolute bottom-of-the-barrel garbage.

I actually found this pretty entertaining, partly because of Hardy (fingers crossed we get a second season of that Taboo series with him starring)
. If you go into movies like this knowing exactly what they are—basically just pure entertainment—and don't expect anything more than that, then it definitely hits the mark.
My rating for the film is 8.5/10.

Honestly, I just hope he doesn't waste his damn time on that garbage.

Just watched it! I’m not exactly a huge fan, but honestly, it was pretty fun. Does anyone actually get that mid-credits scene, though? Like, I have zero clue who this Cletus guy is or what he's even rambling about. Maybe someone could point me toward the specific movies or comic books I should check out so I can look into it myself?
thanks

Cletus Cassidy, Carnage. He's easily one of the heavy hitters in the Spider-Man universe... seriously intense.

Basically, he's this total psychopath in the asylum, and in the original story, he crosses paths with an offspring of Vena that latches onto a new host, kind of like how Vena bonded with Hardy.

And oh yeah—we finally found out Woody Harrelson is playing him! So cool...

Kasady is basically modeled after Joker—mentally speaking. Plus, he’s got a symbiote that’s way more unstable than Venom's. It seems like he can fire off spikes and turn his claws into axes, which Venom can't really do, making him much faster and stronger.
