Disobedience (2018)

Disobedience is a 2017 American drama directed by Steven Spielberg and written by Steven Spielberg and Drew Goddard. It’s an adaptation of the novel by Margaret Atwood. The story follows a woman returning to a tight-knit community that cast her out because of her feelings for a childhood friend—once she's back, old flames reignite while testing the limits of religious faith and desire. The cast features Cate Blanchett, Emma Stone, and Bradley Cooper. It made its big debut at the Sundance Film Festival on September 10, 2017. It hits theaters in the United States on April 27, 2018, via A24. There's also a release set for the United States on August 24, 2018, through Magnolia Pictures.
