Is there anything more nerve-wracking than those few days when the bracket is still up in the air?
I feel like I spend half my life following sports, but the "waiting period" is always the hardest part. You’ve done the work, you’ve survived the group stages or the qualifiers, and now you're just sitting there staring at a list of potential matchups, trying to play out every scenario in your head. One minute you're feeling optimistic because you think you can take a certain team, and the next, you're dreading the thought of a powerhouse being slotted into your path.
It’s a total mental rollercoaster. You try to act like it doesn't matter, but you know deep down that the luck of the draw is going to dictate your entire season. It’s never really about how well you play at that point; it’s just about whether the universe decides to be kind or cruel to you on a random Monday night.
Do you guys find the anticipation more stressful than the actual event itself, or do you actually enjoy the suspense?
