I’ve been watching the tech sector lately, and it feels like we’re hitting a massive inflection point. For the last couple of years, it seemed like every single company was just throwing money at hardware and infrastructure like there was no tomorrow. It felt like a race to see who could build the biggest, most expensive playground possible.

But lately, I'm seeing a shift in the wind. Instead of just scaling up and buying more "stuff" to keep up with the hype, some of the big players are actually pulling back and telling their teams to get smarter with what they already have. It’s almost like they're being forced to actually innovate on efficiency rather than just brute-forcing their way through problems with raw power.

I personally find this way more interesting. To me, it feels more sustainable, but it also puts a lot of pressure on the people actually doing the work. If you can't just buy your way out of a bottleneck, you actually have to be a genius to fix it.

Do you think this pivot toward optimization is a sign that the bubble is cooling, or is it just a necessary evolution for the industry to mature?
