I would appreciate some assistance, or perhaps just a solid recommendation, regarding the purchase of a new computer. I am looking to spend roughly $1,000—give or take $67—but I need to be clear about my requirements. It is essential that this budget includes both a monitor and Windows 10. If anyone happens to have a moment to spare, I would be most grateful if you could attempt to put together a configuration for me, or at least offer some commentary on a few offers I have already received...

I've got a single Dell 24" LED IPS monitor on hand—specifically the 24MP59G model. It features VGA and HDMI connectivity, supports G-Sync, and has a 1ms response time.
One copy of Microsoft Windows 10 64-bit, American version.
I suppose I'm looking at a single Intel Core i3-8100 desktop processor, the 3.6GHz version with 6MB cache on the LGA1151 socket, still in its original box.
I've got one ASRock Z370 PRO4, LGA 1151 socket.
I've got one Gigabyte RX 580 GAMING available, featuring 8GB of GDDR5 memory and equipped with both HDMI and DVI ports.
I’ve got one 1TB Seagate BarraCuda desktop hard drive sitting here—it's a 3.5" model with 32MB cache, running on a SATA III-600 interface.
I've got one Patriot Signature DDR4 kit here, running at 2400MHz, consisting of 8GB total via two 4GB sticks.
I suppose I’m looking at a single Kingston UV400 240GB SSD here—it's the standard 2.5-inch, 7mm variety, running on a SATA 6 Gbit/s interface.
I've got one Zalman Z3, the black USB 3.0 version, featuring those three 120mm fans.
Just one Fortron Hexa 85+ 450W, rated at 80+ Bronze.
Total: $3068

If you're calling that a gaming rig, then an RX 560 is a total joke...

The setup Amy Vaughn12 has with that GTX 1060 and Ryzen 5 1200 is actually decent.

Thanks for the advice; honestly, every bit of info helps at this stage... If you were looking at my first offer versus my second one... which would be more appealing to you?

My advice would be to go with the Ryzen 5 1600 6/12, since it's priced the same as that i5 7500 4/4 you've got listed in your offers.

Here’s what I found in the thread above

Intel Core 5 1600 BOX, 3.2GHz 16MB, AM4 - $550
MSI B350M PRO-VDH, s.AM4, 7A38-003R - $213
8GB G.SKILL DDR4, 2400 MHz, DIMM, Value, CL15, F4-2400C15S-8GNT - $220
MSI GTX1050Ti 4GT OC - $447

around $1433 plus a power supply.

So, $4600 with a Fortron Hexa 400 PSU... then you just add Windows 10, a decent monitor, an SSD, an HDD, and a case

Transcribing this from the thread—gogo posted some updated prices

Intel Core 5 1600 $533
MSI B350M_PRO-VD_PLUS $178
