I was watching some clips of the lower-level ball recently and it got me thinking about how brutal the "waiting room" phase of a career actually is. Everyone loves talking about the superstars once they hit the big leagues, but nobody really discusses the psychological toll of being stuck in that cycle of constant movement.

You spend all these years grinding in these small towns, living out of suitcases, and just hoping a single roster move finally goes your way. It's such a volatile way to make a living. One day you're the golden boy of the organization, and the next, you're being shuffled around to a different affiliate just to fill a gap. It's a weird, high-stakes game of musical chairs that most people never see.

Do you think the constant shuffling actually helps players develop resilience, or does it just burn them out before they ever get a real shot?
