I was reading about how some of these big administrative probes in professional sports can end up stretching out for years. It’s honestly wild to me. You’d think that with all the resources these massive organizations have, they’d be able to get to the bottom of a situation in a few months, not several seasons.

It feels like a tactic sometimes, doesn't it? Like, if they just keep the "investigation ongoing" status active, they can avoid making a massive decision that might rock the league's stability or upset a major franchise. It’s a way to let the heat die down naturally while technically being "productive." I remember back in the day, things felt much more decisive. Now, it feels like everything is just a perpetual "to be determined."

Do you think these long delays are actually about finding the truth, or is it just a way for the higher-ups to manage the PR fallout?
