A new wave

I’m honestly obsessed with that whole new wave era... just everything about it. The entire scene was vibing to their own thing, totally carving out their own sound... Man, I would give anything to go back to those days. Back then, the whole US underground was just pure electricity... straight up rock 'n' roll... goddamn...🙂Everyone used to hang out on the legendary club circuits... music and singing everywhere you turned... bands like Nirvana or maybe even some early grunge legends playing tiny dive bars in Seattle... In cities like Austin, the first big indie festivals were kicking off... the music scene there was absolutely massive... even the punk icons would hit up New York City... it was absolute chaos🙂just pure madness... yeah... those were the days... a time that felt completely perfect... and people actually stood for things back then... real values...😉

Even today, you see the same old mess scattered everywhere; I suppose things haven't truly changed all that much. It is true that the spirit of the era felt somewhat different back then, but what can one say? Everything that arrives eventually fades away.
But really, why must you insist on dragging me down into such a depression?

I can't recall anyone ever standing up and shouting, "Oh my god, look at us, we are living in the absolute golden age of existence! This is insane!"

It’s more like how people used to talk about things—you know, like how they'd reminisce about Woodstock and go, "Man, that was such a wild time... those were the days..."😁

I guarantee that in twenty years, we'll all be drowning in nostalgia for death disco😬

Ana Nirvana, I’ll be seeing you in my dreams. It’s just beautiful—truly indescribable. It reminds me that we aren't alone in this world, even when everything feels out of sync. Their songs are so hauntingly beautiful; they always hit that nostalgic note and leave me a little teary-eyed 😍 It’s giving me major vibes of watching a classic indie flick while listening to some Fleetwood Mac 👍

if you actually bother to look.
I don't get people—they’re always mourning what they lack instead of seeing the good in what's right in front of them.
Kevin Chavez3 makes a fair point; in 10 or 20 years, you might find yourself crying for the music we have today.

I'm totally with you on there being tons of great bands lately... I don't really follow the "new wave" stuff though... personally, I'm all about Queen, The Doors, Guns N' Roses, Pink Floyd, Metallica, Zeppelin, Scorpions, AC/DC... just legendary stuff...🙂 😁

I'm with you on that, because there are so many amazing groups performing today; the issue is that most people just consume whatever the mainstream media feeds them or whatever happens to be trending on Spotify, and they assume that's the entire music scene.
If you actually take the time to go hunting for something different, I bet anyone could find a band that speaks to them, but since these artists aren't getting massive radio play or chasing commercial hits, they stay under the radar.
Down the road, I truly believe people are going to regret missing out on this era! 😬
