Absolutely Anything (2015)

Simon Pegg is starring in this new flick with Kate Beckinsale, and the voice cast is stacked—we’ve got John Oliver, Robin Williams, John Cleese, Michael Palin, and Terry Gilliam.
Alright, maybe not *all* of them are legends, but still. 😁

Basically, some aliens give an ordinary Earthman (Pegg) superpowers. It's not exactly groundbreaking stuff, but I've got a feeling Simon is gonna crush it.
Robbie Williams voices his dog, who gets the gift of speech thanks to the powers. 🙂

Hands down, the worst movie Simon Pegg has ever done. It’s just dumb and boring. I was honestly seconds away from walking out of the theater.😵

I only caught the trailer, but this seems like a total rip-off of Everything Everywhere All at Once.

I guess with Pegg, it’s just aliens involved instead of God.
It feels like a pointed jab at that. 😁

I’ve been scrolling through the reviews online. Most people think the movie is absolute garbage. I’m skipping it—I'd much rather go watch Trainwreck.

I just finished watching this movie. While it doesn't exactly reinvent the wheel—it feels like a bit of a mashup between Everything Everywhere All at Once and The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy—it’s actually quite a decent, entertaining ride that makes the time fly by. There were also at least a dozen hilarious jokes that had the entire theater practically rolling in their seats. The cast is impressive, featuring Simon Pegg, the late, great Robin Williams, members of Monty Python, and Petey from Absolutely Anything, along with Rob Riggle, who played the villain in that new Idiot and Dummy flick and absolutely crushed his role here.

I’m not particularly huge on Paul Rudd, to be honest, but having the Monty Python crew involved makes it worth it—plus, you've got Robin Williams in there. And honestly, I think it’s pretty clever to approach the film through the lens of To be or not to be.
