Admin Update 2.0

You guys went ahead and locked the "question for administration" topic, which basically leaves me with nowhere to go—so what's actually going on with the Forum staff? I noticed Uncle Strile suddenly became a mod over in Religion, too, which has to be some kind of joke, or maybe he’s just serving out some sentence according to the DSM-IV. 😁

Who is even running this Forum these days?

I’m standing right there with Christian Taylor3, who I know is genuinely concerned about this...

Right now, I'm the only one handling administration. Honestly, there isn't much to explain because it's just the nature of the beast; moderators come and go, and it’s the exact same story for the supermods and admins. If you're looking for more details than that, you can always reach out via message, and then it's really up to them whether they decide to get back to you or not.

There’s definitely something to ask, rustydrifter10. I really don't care about anyone's reasons—especially private ones—and there's absolutely no need to drag this into private messages either (that's a classic way to dodge the subject, and trust me, I've been around long enough to know the drill). The actual topic at hand is how the forum is (or isn't) functioning; we're sticking to the "Messages, complaints, comments" thread on the PDF.

The forum has basically dwindled down to a single admin, so how is it supposed to function with just one person running the show? We already saw how poorly it worked when there were three of them—it barely lasted a few months after the previous administration stepped down.

Honestly, I'm just hoping the forum gets a fresh administrative team without any of the old baggage. Tyndall was such a massive weight on your shoulders, and we really shouldn't be seeing those kinds of mistakes repeated. Also, regarding the suggestion to set admin terms for 12 months, we've seen time and again that these teams start falling apart by month six anyway.
