I believe I touched on this in the chat thread: moving forward, this will be the penalty for any failed unmasking attempts that don't result in taking a player. It might be wise to save those moves for the end of a round—that way, you skip the first pick but increase your odds of avoiding the "black sheep."

Earlier on, our unlucky friend Srećko Bogdan also attempted to unmask Gračan without success. He’ll be missing the first round of the next criterion (7,1), simply because his attempt happened before we established the rule mentioned above. A new criterion and a previous one (we’ll have another quick round for the connoisseurs)

It's simple:

Pick a player:

- One whose nationality you haven't picked yet
- Whose last name starts with a letter that isn't the starting letter of any player you've already chosen

For Brazilian, Portuguese, or Angolan players—and others from Lusophone regions—we go by the sporting name they used to build their football reputation. For instance, if you pick Tostao this round, we consider his name to start with 'T', not the 'G' found on his official documents for Gonçalves.
With Brazilians or Portuguese players who use two sporting names, like 'Dani Alves,' we look at the second one.
For players with two surnames, we use the first one (for example, if someone is listed as Smith-Jones, the name starts with 'S').

Regarding players born in one country who took citizenship in another and played for that nation's team, we will count their nationality as the country they represented at the senior international level. If you choose a dual-national player who never played senior international football, we will consider their nationality to be the country where they were born.
