AMD vs. Intel

Hey there!
I could really use some help with my graphics setup. I've got an HP laptop, and it seems to be defaulting to Intel's integrated graphics automatically—but I actually have an AMD card sitting right there alongside it. How do I force it to switch from Intel's chip over to the AMD one? Because honestly, the Intel performance is just pathetic.

The laptop just swaps between them automatically based on what it needs to do... provided it isn't running on battery. Anything else is a headache to tune properly and just ends up killing the components faster. ☕

Well, you described it perfectly. The laptop handles the switching automatically based on what the task requires. I actually have a setup just like yours, running integrated Intel graphics alongside a dedicated AMD card.
Go ahead and download Catalyst from the AMD website; you can actually configure how much performance you get when you're plugged into a wall outlet, and you can even set it to prioritize the dedicated AMD chip specifically for gaming.
You could even try tweaking things yourself, like trying to allocate more system memory to the Intel graphics, but honestly, it won't make much of a difference—that integrated chip only has so much it can do.
