It all comes down to the specific model and what you're paying, but generally speaking, those Core chips aren't exactly built for gaming. There are outliers, sure, but they're the exception, not the rule.

It’s really just a cheap way to patch up an ancient platform where you buy some Xeon from China or locally that's basically just a rebranded i7.
