I’m not entirely sure if this is the right spot for this—if not, no biggie, feel free to delete it...

Just throwing an idea out there... it would be awesome if you could get notifications when you comment on a thread and then others start replying...
If that's even doable, it would be a total game-changer.

You can actually subscribe to specific threads if you want to stay in the loop. If you head over to your settings, there’s an option to automatically follow every single discussion you jump into. You can set it up to ping your email whenever there's activity, or just keep it all within the app—totally up to you.
Once you dive into your Settings, look under User Control Panel, right here:

Now, if you aren't looking to follow absolutely everything (I get it, my inbox is already a disaster zone), you can just pick and choose. Just find a thread that catches your eye, go to the topic tools, and select the subscription option there.

When you're hanging out on Reddit, you'll see a dedicated section under your options that lists every single thread you've subscribed to.
