Anyone else dealing with syphilis?

Therefore;

I’m asking because I’m genuinely curious—just my inquisitive nature acting up. Plus, syphilis has always been a fascinating disease to me. Don't get it twisted, I don't have it, never have, and I don't know anyone who does. But it would be wild if someone on here actually had it and could give us the real story. Like, how did you catch it? How much did it suck? How'd you clear it up? Any permanent damage left behind? Just wondering... ☕

It’s a relatively rare condition here in the States, though numbers have definitely climbed since the 90s.
Usually, it's handled pretty effectively with antibiotics, provided you catch the diagnosis early enough.

Most people don't exactly go around opening up about how they "dealt" with syphilis.
Not even on a forum like this.
