Hey everyone. Got a really weird issue going on with my hands. 🙄
Dealt with rheumatic fever back when I was a kid, and towards the end of puberty, these swellings started popping up at the middle knuckle of every finger on both hands.
Got some X-rays done, and the joints look fine—properly formed, everything's aligned... just got this fatty thickening on my fingers.
It doesn't really bother me personally, it’s not even that noticeable. But here's the thing that actually sucks:
I can't focus on anything that requires precision. I couldn't paint if I tried. Doing paperwork where I need to write stuff out? Forget it. My handwriting looks like a damn elementary schooler's, and it's never consistent. Every time I sign my name, it looks different. I literally have to bend my knees and angle my hand just right just to get a signature down.
My hands are basically numb. When it gets cold outside, they turn bright red, feel swollen, and just weak. Sometimes I get a tremor, but it's subtle... you only really notice it once I try to let my hands rest.
Saw a rheumatologist and the results came back negative. X-rays didn't show any bone growths either.
Bloodwork and urine tests were normal, except for my white blood cell count being slightly elevated.
Anyone know if there's any way to fix this?
