Anyone seen Pixels (2015)?

So, this summer we’ve got this comedy coming out that feels just like a random episode of Futurama. It’s basically about these aliens shaped like old-school 80s video games (think Pac-Man, Donkey Kong, stuff like that) invading the US, and the only people who can actually save us are retro gamers from back in the day. 😁

It looks a bit silly, but honestly, 😁 I’ll have to check it out. After all, I grew up during the golden age of those classic games.

The idea has potential, I guess. But honestly? I’m not expecting much once I see Kevin James and Adam Sandler on screen. I'll probably just sit through it for Brian Cox.

Pure genius. Adam Sandler and his buddy are having a blast filming these high-budget comedies. Honestly, I think any guy in his middle age who grew up playing those retro games back in the 80s is going to love this. The first half is masterfully done; it loses a little steam toward the end, but overall, it’s a solid ride.👍

wow ok... because from what I can gather, the reviews are basically saying, "Calling this one of the better Adam Sandler movies is like saying one strain of Ebola is somehow less horrific than another. Both are just pure, unadulterated misery." 🤣
Honestly? It would actually surprise me if I ever sat through a Sandler film that didn't feel like total torture...

I’d honestly be shocked if I ever sat through a Sandler movie that wasn't a total drag...

And look, I'm probably biased since I think pretty much any Sandler flick is solid. But seeing it sitting at a 5 on IMDb, it looks like anyone who hates his stuff is finding this one just as unbearable. 🤔

I might consider this if someone else were starring in it. But since I can't even look at Sandler in a still photo, let alone watch him for a full movie, I'll pass on this one.
It’s a shame, because I usually like Columbus. The concept itself seems pretty cool.

It was an entertaining watch. I’m not usually a fan of Sandler—honestly, most of his movies drive me up the wall—but this one actually works. The cast is a bit of a wild mix, which you wouldn't expect, but they somehow pull it off perfectly.

Just a fun little way to kill some time. Don't go in expecting a masterpiece, but it’s a pretty solid flick.
