So, I'm running into a massive headache with SW2008—it just won't install. I'm using a 32-bit version of Vista, and right at the finish line, the whole thing crashes with this annoying "Error 1721" message. It basically says there’s an issue with the installer package and some required program couldn't run, then tells me to go cry to support or the vendor. Specifically, it points to some mess at > during the userpref_registration step.

If you guys think you need any more details to help me figure this out, just let me know. Thanks in advance for any help!

Have you tried right-clicking that setup file and selecting "run as administrator"?

Got it—figured it out and got everything running smoothly. Turns out I just needed to run it as an admin, which, yeah, totally should have been obvious. Thanks for the help. Mod, feel free to lock this thread whenever you want.
