So, I’m on the hunt for a decent MiFi device—something to bridge 3G/4G to WiFi. I need this for some rental units where I can't get a standard wired connection. It would just sit in one spot, plugged into the wall, and stay there indefinitely.
I did a bit of digging online and stumbled upon these:

The only real dealbreaker for me is that I need to be able to hook up an external antenna if the signal turns out to be garbage. Does anyone have a better suggestion? Or maybe it’s smarter to just go with a dedicated modem and router combo? I guess we'll see.
