Apple on a laptop?

This just popped up on my laptop screen:


... which is strange, considering neither I nor anyone else in my household who occasionally uses this machine has ever had any dealings with Apple or their hardware.

Any idea what might be causing this?

This is regarding the installation of Verizon internet. Their USB modem is an Apple device.
