One of my arms is about two inches shorter than the other at the upper arm, and I’m fairly certain the forearm is also an inch or so shorter, though I haven't actually measured it. This stems from a shoulder injury I've had since childhood. A few months back, I went to see a specialist to get my shoulder checked out, but we only exchanged a few brief words regarding this specific issue. I asked him if there was any way to actually lengthen the bone. He mentioned that limb-lengthening surgeries do exist, but he wouldn't recommend them for me given my age; apparently, it's something that works better while you're still growing. We didn't really go any further with the conversation, so now I'm wondering if there is anything I can do through exercise. Is there even a specific workout for this? Honestly, if I could gain just another half-inch, I'd be thrilled. On a more layman note, if I were to grab onto something above my head and just hang there for an hour every day, would that actually do anything? Or is that impossible now that I'm 25? I did a bit of digging online and saw there's a doctor over in Europe who specializes in this. Apparently, you wear a device that extends the bone by maybe 0.02 inches a day...
