I stepped into a video rental shop for the first time in probably three years and rented this because I’d heard good things, plus I was curious about our local Oscar nominee. I watched "All That" too, though it didn't really do much for me.
But this... this is a masterpiece. At 75 minutes, there isn't a single wasted frame. Emir Hadžihafizbegović is absolutely captivating—easily the best performance I've seen from him. And I'm not even exaggerating when I say "Armin" is hands down the best film to come out of the States in the last 20 years.

You have to see this. And for anyone from the US or with any ties to this country—this film will hit you hard, touching every emotion from heartbreak to pure joy.

A perfect five stars!

I find myself wondering if you truly grasp the weight of that claim. I am not suggesting the film is poor, but there are certainly superior works out there, particularly from Canada.
