AutoCAD Tips and Tricks

Hey everyone, I'm looking for some help from someone who actually knows their way around AutoCAD.
I've got this project I need to get drafted, but honestly, I have no clue how to start, so I'm asking for a hand... thanks a lot, cheers.

I guess there is little point in bragging about AutoCAD if you can't actually use it.
What kind of drawing are we even talking about here?

Honestly, if she doesn't get some kind of project drafted, she’s probably going to fail her midterms. I’m just helping out here, but since I don't know my way around AutoCAD, I figured I'd come here... 🙂 She needs to put together a base plate, a floor plan, a top view, and a side view. Think you could help me out?

For heaven's sake, just show me the drawing so I can see what we're actually dealing with here... you simply wander in here expecting a miracle without providing even a shred of direction or instruction. Honestly, it's almost comical.

I need three drawings done—I've got the sketches ready, and they're supposedly pretty simple, at least that's what I'm told lol. So, if anyone wants to help me out, I’d really appreciate it. cheers

As the saying goes, just hand over the drawing and we’ll figure out a workaround together; at least that part isn't an insurmountable obstacle.

By the way, placidcobra49, you're looking at a 3D model here, not some flat floor plan or a basic side profile.😁 You really ought to pay closer attention to the posts... haha.

Hey, placidcobra49 is right, we need something like that. It shouldn't just be a floor plan and a basic outline; I got myself mixed up. To avoid any more confusion, I'll probably just scan the thing and post it here so you guys can take a look. Anyway, thanks for all the help.

Just send me your email address. I'll shoot over the sketch there because the file is way too huge to upload here, and if I try to shrink it down, you won't be able to see any of the details anyway...

Regrettably, I find myself unable to offer any meaningful assistance here, as I am currently grappling with a baffling inability to install AutoCAD—a first for me, quite frankly. I haven't the slightest clue what is causing this sudden technical glitch, and honestly, it’s just one more headache in an already long week. Well, damn, I can only hope that our colleague manages to sort you out since I clearly lack the capacity to do so at this moment. ☕
