Avatar dimensions?

Does anyone happen to know of a specific software that will actually allow me to resize an image to exactly 50x50 pixels? It seems that every time I attempt to input those precise dimensions, the program decides to take its own liberties, resulting in some nonsensical resolution like 50x71 or perhaps 35x50 instead of what was requested.

You can even hack it together using Microsoft Paint.
Just pop the image into Microsoft Paint and you’ve got two ways to go:

1.Ctrl+W - this lets you resize by percentage for width and height—but watch out, you might end up stretching the damn thing and messing up the aspect ratio.

2.Ctrl+E - this lets you pick the size based on the top-left corner—the catch is it always anchors to that top-left spot, get it?

But hey, like they say in those old cartoons... if there's a problem, just deal with it. Anything's possible if you give it a shot.

You have to crop the image to a 1:1 aspect ratio first, then you can scale it down to exactly 50x50. Otherwise, it just scales proportionally to whatever shape it already is.

Much obliged. Although, I have already managed to track down a truly one-of-a-kind avatar that requires absolutely no further modification
