Why on earth can't I upload my photo? I've been part of this community forever (just ignore whatever is showing up on the side) and I've changed my avatar a hundred times before without any issues, but now? Nothing. I resize the image and do everything exactly the way I always have, but then I just get this vBulletin error: This is not a valid image file.

What file format are we looking at here? How many kilobytes is it, and what are the actual dimensions? 🤷

It’s all the same stuff we always deal with, so I honestly don't get why everyone's making such a big deal out of it.

Just search for it on Google, but don't bother opening the high-res version; just grab the thumbnail instead. That’s how I usually handle it, and it works much better

Does anyone happen to know how to actually customize my profile—specifically, how do I get an image to show up right under my username? Is there someone out there who could walk me through this process without making me feel too clueless??😕

Head over to Options --> edit your avatar--> pick out an image, but make sure it stays at 50x50 pixels or smaller. I'm fairly certain the file size needs to be under 10 kb too, though I can't say for sure about that part.😳

Grab one online, resize a file from your PC, whatever works. Just find it through the browser or paste the URL if it's hosted somewhere else.🤷
