Hey there.

I'm curious to know what you guys are using for data storage and syncing at your companies.

We're running a small operation with just two employees, so I’m wondering how you handle backups.

We have about three or four spreadsheets that need daily updates, and we both need seamless access to everything. Beyond that, it's just standard stuff—photos, contacts, .exe files, etc.

Up until now, I've been doing everything manually on my own PC and running a backup to two external hard drives once a week. I know, it's a terrible, outdated way to do things.

I need something more reliable, a solid cloud solution.

Any suggestions would be appreciated.👍

Quick question: how much storage do you guys actually need?

If you're paying for a dedicated server every month, it can get pretty pricey. But honestly, it’s better than letting your data just rot. Personally, I think Dropbox or Google Drive are the best ways to go.

We've only been in business for a few months, and we haven't even hit 2 GB of total data yet. I'm thinking about just moving everything over to Google Drive for now. I can just send him a link so he can manage the files himself...

Open to any other ideas you guys might have. 🙂

We’re currently paying for Microsoft 365. We use everything—email, Dropbox, Google Docs, calendars, the whole suite...

Feel free to throw out some other ideas! 🙂

If that's all you need, stick with Dropbox or Google Drive. Once the file count starts climbing, you might want to look into a faster dedicated cloud server.
