Does anyone have any advice on what I should do? Every single time I get into the ocean or even just a standard pool to swim, my legs go into full-blown spasms. It hits my entire lower body, from my toes all the way up through my muscles. I can barely manage fifteen minutes of swimming before this starts happening! What on earth is causing this?🤷

Seriously, start taking some magnesium.

Yeah... magnesium. Honestly. 😉

In addition to keeping up with your magnesium intake, you really ought to stay on top of your hydration levels. I’ve heard that the heat itself can be a major culprit sometimes. For me personally, I get hit with them whenever I jump into the ocean; occasionally, I'll feel a cramp strike my foot, and it’ll leave two of my toes feeling completely stiff and locked up. But it isn't just during the day—I also deal with those sudden, sharp cramps in my calves that wake me up in the middle of the night. The intense pain usually lasts for a few minutes, though I sometimes find myself dealing with a lingering, dull ache for a day or even three.🙂
