That has absolutely nothing to do with Austria as a nation...

Perhaps he was referring to the soccer club Austria Wien instead?🤷 🤣

Been there, seen that. It's the same shady stuff they pulled back in the 90s in Budapest...

And who even remembers Cunja anymore? 😁

To damn country... we were crossing back into the States late tonight and this cop pulls us over, asks, "Hey guys, heading home from the game?" We just tell him straight up, yeah, why's that a problem? Then he goes, "Look, don't take it personally, but I have to log all of you coming back." We're like, why? And the guy just says, "Orders from the top down." 🤣 We asked him—was that orders from the Real Madrid brass or the Police? He says, "Police." So the guy sits there writing everything down: car type, license plate, names, the whole nine yards for the four of us. We ask him, "Okay, now what?" He just shrugs and goes, "Look, boys, I get it. You're fans, and I know you're probably gonna get screwed over eventually because of that... so maybe go ahead and file a complaint or something. Complain if you want." We just laughed in his face and told him goodnight.

I found myself wondering the same thing—how on earth did nobody recognize a single security guard or strike up a casual conversation with them around the neighborhood? Then it hit me: looking at their faces and the way they dress, you’d almost never guess they were from Washington, D.C. They look more like they hail from those rural farming towns just outside the Beltway, where people live off homemade wine from breakfast through dinner. You see it in the flushed faces, the slight tremor in their hands when they try to light a cigarette, and those sneakers that always seem to have a bit of mud on them.

So, why did you guys end up packing away the protest signs after just a little while?

I guess they just kept their star player on the bench the entire game, maybe? 👍

It’s a total madhouse in my neighborhood—first we've got Real Madrid playing for a trophy, and now Hajduk is showing up in Kustošija.🙂

What kind of drinks and food should we be serving to celebrate such a historic victory? 😍

Just a massive blowout, we just don't know where yet. Maybe some local dive or a backyard BBQ, since the stadium is basically a construction zone right now.🤷

Yeah, honestly, I bet if people watching TV over in Ukraine caught a glimpse of this banner, they wouldn't have a freaking clue what's going on 😁

Most people within the American supporter scene—from the hardcore ultras at the core of every firm to the casual fans and casual observers—know a guy from San Diego named Jure Karamarko.
Right now, this man is facing an incredibly brutal situation, just trying to keep his head above water. He’s working day and night, pushing himself to the limit, all in a desperate attempt to save his young son, whom he affectionately calls his "little fighter."
It’s disheartening how few people have actually stepped up or even reached out to ask Jure if he needs a hand. Most of you know Jure; there's really no need for an introduction. You know the character he's shown throughout his life. He was always the first one to step up whenever someone was in need. Even though he spent most of his youth in the stands cheering for his beloved San Diego, he developed a deep perspective on the world around him, showing a genuine desire to help others far beyond the stadium gates. I don't even need to list the various charity drives he's been part of.
I'm not writing this hoping that some random stranger outside our circle will step in. I'm writing this for one specific reason. Jure is someone who has shaped and improved the American supporter movement more than almost anyone else. He possesses a mindset that is rare to find. Whether consciously or not, he drew so many guys into this lifestyle. Through his stories, he could move you to tears—moments where your heart skips a beat—even for those veterans who have traveled to thousands of away games. He simply had a unique way of providing joy to others and allowing them to experience things they would remember for the rest of their lives.
I believe it falls on us—those of us who call ourselves supporters, regardless of which group we belong to, what city we're from, or how we think—to help Jure as much as humanly possible in any way we can. I am calling on all fan groups, their leadership, and the people at the top to organize and step up for Jure and his little boy.

"Please, delete this from the forum and don't be mad at me. My wife and I don't want public campaigns or organized fundraising; we haven't authorized anything because we believe there are plenty of people out there facing much more urgent needs. We trust that those who truly want to help will reach out to us directly. Thank you from the bottom of my heart for being a good man, and please, just take this down—don't be angry, try to understand where I'm coming from... somewhere out there, someone might be dying right now because they can't afford a surgery, and it wouldn't feel right for anyone to run a massive campaign for me. If someone wants to help, they will do it on their own. My friend, if someone asks, feel free to give them the account number, but there shouldn't be any mass movements. I'll pull through this, save my family, and then down the road, if anyone else is in need, we as supporters can come together, organize, and save lives en masse." by Jure
