Regarding this latest attempt to destabilize the Bad Boys as a collective—specifically through Jerry Jones trying to bribe some of the core leadership—I have to point something out.
It happens all too often: the big boss tries to buy off the loudest agitators and tough guys in the stands, thinking he can just smooth things over and pull all the profit toward himself. But the story always ends the same way: the resistance and the pushback only grow stronger than they were before. Why is that? The answer is simple, though it remains completely incomprehensible to a primitive, animalistic brain like Jerry's.
You see, throughout history, we've learned that a man's true stature isn't measured by his physical strength, his bicep size, or any other such nonsense. It’s about intellect, conviction, consistency, and courage. Everything those traitorous little punks who used to be part of your group lack, they end up being nothing more than nightclub bouncers or, at best, a personal bodyguard and a loyal servant to some five-foot-six dignitary weighing 350 pounds. Your actual strength lies with the guys from the civic initiative, because they actually possess the intellect, the integrity, and the sheer guts to stand up to various Jerrys and other power brokers. Most of them aren't even street fighters; they're just average citizens.
I suppose I can wrap up this post with that old saying, "Mind over matter," and in that arena, the hydrocephalus definitely loses.
