Wait a little longer until actual evidence surfaces, so we know this isn't just some reporter making things up out of thin air.

One minute people are trashing the New York Post, and the next they're posting links to the exact same outlet and acting like it's gospel. Why the hypocrisy? We should wait to see what the Swedes have to say about this. Besides, I find it hard to believe a club would actually allow a player's mother to pick up the tab for their travel.

Thomas Williams59 said:There isn't some specific "link" you're looking for, unless you want to dig through the Administrative Procedure Act which basically lays out the deadlines—we’re talking a maximum of a few months here. Honestly, the timelines aren't even the smallest issue, nor does anyone care if they're rushing. As long as they've actually started the process, who cares if it takes an extra month or two? The real headache is the actual substance of the investigation and how those inspectors decide to play it. We won't know what we're dealing with for at least a few weeks. ...
Once they finally draft a decision and we see what kind of mess they've actually put together—which is the only thing that matters—under the Sports Inspection Act, they are required to notify the club members who filed the request for the inspection in the first place. Then, if they don't decide to dump everything over to the 3PM, they might try to appeal to a higher authority, or eventually sue in administrative court... assuming anyone still has the energy or the will left to fight.

Whatever, but you're citing the wrong law.

I mean, how much did they actually pay you for this application and enrollment thing, $3.50? Is it even possible that an education can be sold that cheaply? Honestly, just shoot me a DM and I’ll give you $7.00 so you don't have to keep posting about this. I guess it looks like it's barely worth anything, so I really want to "help you out." If he's offering 22, my absolute limit is 24. Man, what a joke...

I truly hope we can organize some kind of collective effort or a fund to support them as a community; seeing this unfold is painful for me too, and I can only fathom the weight they are carrying.

Since all the funeral expenses were denied, the family is left staring down a bill of about $5,000 to $6,000.
If you’re looking to give, please consider someone who actually needs it more. Let's face it—the widow of a pro athlete is always going to be better off than most of us, so why not direct that generosity toward someone truly struggling?

Zachary Anderson49 said:Since they rejected all the organization costs, the family is left with maybe $9,000 or $10,000
just go ahead and donate it to someone who actually needs it. A pro player's widow is always gonna live better than you—and definitely better than some poor soul who's actually struggling right now

Sorry I even cared... Not a single damn post on this board can go by without some miserable jerk jumping in to complain.

🤦
"Doesn't matter," huh? So apparently I'm just some idiot who totally missed that specific part of the Sports Inspection Act you’re so generously bringing up 🙄. Why don't you do us all a favor and actually find the real deadlines—you know, the ones for taking action and the ones for appeals—since you're clearly such an expert on the subject and wouldn't want us applying that general law I mentioned, given how much you love lecturing everyone else.

Regarding the situation with Turin and the farewell... there isn’t actually anything controversial here. They even went so far as to pay the parking fine before later contesting it. That is simply how things work when you operate with transparency. Or was the president of AIK expected to tear his shirt apart and scatter flower petals over everyone's heads?

Being transparent and being bešćutan are two totally different things...

Nice one, man. Real insightful.
We're all aiming for that kind of transparency, but using double standards is just, I guess, hypocritical if nothing else.

...it wasn't the family that organized the match, it was AIK.
If that's the case, they can't exactly go sending bills to the family; that just isn't right.

We aren't talking about ruthlessness here. This was an extraordinary match, one that defied any pre-established budget or projection. Everything that transpired essentially functioned as an unforeseen organizational expense. If we want to get pedantic, it’s certainly ruthless how Mamić & co buried those figures into the budget, but even then, I suppose it’s just business as usual.

They can't just go sending bills to the family, I mean, that's just not right.

I guess if this happened at our club, people would be out there singing all sorts of nasty songs, but it keeps happening day after day, and honestly, it’ll probably keep going on until the whole corrupt system just collapses or everyone finally leaves. It’s all about transparency, man, and this is basically the perfect example of those double standards we see whenever things happen at our own club... it feels totally pointless, if you know what I mean?

I don't really get why you're complaining about which specific thing I'm picking on right now. I guess if I actually wrote something serious or at least something where you could grab onto a point, then maybe you'd have a reason to lose it.
Man, sorry if I'm being a total pessimist here, and yeah, maybe I'm wrong to think we won't be getting rid of "Mamić" anytime soon, but hey, that's just how I see things, man. It's nice to see, or read about, optimists like mukte, I really mean that, but the facts just seem to point elsewhere. I guess God knows if his predictions about cancer end up being right, because honestly, I feel like that cancer might be our only actual shot at getting the club back.

Forgive me for being a pessimist and believing we won't deal with the "Mamić mess" anytime soon. That is just my opinion. I enjoy seeing optimists like mukte, but the facts tell a different story. God willing, his cancer predictions come true, because at this rate, that might be our only hope to get the club back.

Los Angeles FC
The crowd favorite, Soudani, had nothing but praise for the fans: "I really want to thank the supporters who have embraced me so warmly from day one. It’s such a genuine thrill to play in this kind of electric atmosphere. My teammates and I are going to make sure we pay them back on the pitch."

Los Angeles FC
Two-goal hero Duje Čop added: "I also want to emphasize that the energy in the stands was incredible. Huge thanks to everyone who showed up. We’re going to play well enough to give you every reason to come back to the stadium next week, and I'm personally inviting everyone out for next Friday—we definitely won't let you down."

Los Angeles FC
Captain Šimunić: "I specifically want to shout out the atmosphere today. Major props to the fans; playing in front of them was an absolute blast."

Los Angeles FC
After the final whistle, Coach Jurčić was full of praise for his squad, while also highlighting the Drew Newman32 who created such a phenomenal environment in the stands.
