I can't access the Coronavirus PDF, and to make matters worse, the forum search is totally broken. Because of that, I have no clue which 40-odd posts just vanished from my profile without any explanation. My signature is gone too, and my avatar disappeared—though honestly, maybe that happened for a reason? Was that the trigger for heavier censorship?

Why were my on-topic posts removed from the thread "Why did you ban the Coronavirus PDF" while all the off-topic bickering and insults were left standing?
Something doesn't add up here logically.

If the assessment is that my posts don't add value to this forum, then I want someone in charge to say it to my face instead of tearing me down from the shadows.

Look, I'll be the first to admit I'm not the smartest guy in the room, and yeah, I definitely talk before I think sometimes, but I really didn't expect this kind of total wipeout.

Something doesn't add up here, logically speaking.

If the consensus is that my posts don't add value to the forum, then I guess someone in charge should just tell me publicly instead of tearing me down from the shadows.

Look, I'll be the first to admit I'm not exactly a genius. I know I say stupid things sometimes, but I really didn't expect this kind of total wipeout.

You aren't the only one.
It feels like blatant censorship to me.
☕

Just look at a few previous threads in this same subforum.

Is censorship really going this far now? They’re even making posts disappear if they don't mention the coronavirus?

How am I supposed to take this? It’s basically a clear signal that my input on this forum isn't welcome. But fine, if that’s how they want to send a message, I'm not sweating it. There's always the logout button—they can go ahead and sing their own praises without me.

Jesse Bailey91 said:So the censorship goes so far that posts having absolutely nothing to do with the coronavirus just "vanish"?
.

It’s not like they actually think, I guess.
If you push back against the official narrative on a coronavirus thread, you get flagged... and then everything else starts getting wiped out too.

Doesn't matter if it makes sense or not....

That's just how totalitarianism works.....
Some uneducated political operative just carries out orders from the central committee, whether those orders make any sense at all or not.
He isn't there to think; he's just following orders....
🍿

Get used to it.....

I suppose the absolute worst part of all this is how they just shut down threads and wipe posts, handing out bans and kicking people from the entire subforum without providing even a shred of explanation or a single message. It seems like this has become the standard operating procedure now.

Meanwhile, when it comes to rule-breaking on the "other side," everyone just seems to look the other way.

And then you’re stuck having to whine on the PŽK for days on end just to pressure one of the admins into actually saying something at all.

These are truly dark days for this forum.

It’s like you aren't allowed to say anything unless it fits perfectly into the official narrative. You can't even question things regarding the Coronavirus or Twitter without someone breathing down your neck—we all have to march in lockstep, I guess.
Honestly, it’s been driving me crazy lately because my posts in the political threads about Tomasevic just keep vanishing. And look, I wasn't even being critical of him—I mean, I don't really care enough about him to bother since I don't live in a major hub like New York or Chicago—I was just sharing my own two cents.

And just like always, once they get tangled up with their central committee and political commissars...The Antivirus Council is useless to those who have already fallen ill.',
First things first—let's take aim at you fifth columnists...

Basically, I’m coming for all of you. Given how much you collaborated with the virus, you’re the perfect candidates to reclaim that "Ready for the Health Clinic!" title—not just within our local hero rankings, but on a global scale.

The partisans are still being allowed to carry out their genocide against that poor little virus without any interference. It’s not even enough for them to drive it out of America; they’d be just as bothered if it found refuge in nearby Vatican City... or perhaps somewhere far away in Argentina.

We just can't seem to shake this proverbial provincialism.

My political posts about Tomasevic keep vanishing for days, and I haven't even trashed him—I don't give a damn about him since I don't live in New York, I was just giving my two cents.

I stay away from the coronavirus threads (too much idiocy out there and I’m not losing my mind over it), but the TT thread is crawling with haters. (Not that I mind; it's decent entertainment.)

Look, you gotta realize Reddit has been running this whole setup for nearly 20 years. The owner calls the shots. Even if the mods and admins weren't here from day one, they’ve got way more mileage than any random user. They've seen it all. I bet just a few months after launch, people were already whining, "If this keeps up, everyone's gonna quit this site!" Same goes for specific subreddits.

There are over a hundred moderators, every subreddit is its own beast, and the rules have to change depending on where you are. Obviously, not every mod sees eye-to-eye on everything.

Even being a moderator myself, I occasionally get a post nuked on other subs, and I've even got some beef with a sub from back in the day. So what? It ain't murder. There are a thousand other places on the internet where you can dump your opinions on whatever.

I used to be a journalist back when newsrooms actually had some backbone, in the late '80s. Sure, there was political pressure, but it was fading, and we had a huge variety of papers and mags with different editorial vibes. I worked with plenty of them. I knew a rag like *Rolling Stone* or a local *New York Post* would want things handled differently, so I'd tweak my copy to fit. If one editor hated my stuff, I’d just shop it somewhere else. And if it was totally unpublishable? We'd print it as pamphlets or flyers on a mimeograph machine and pass them around.

Nowadays, getting your voice out there is a hell of a lot easier.

So, just keep a cool head about what you post. If you see that the mods and admins aren't feeling your vibe and won't budge, you either play ball, stop talking about that topic, or move to a different sub. No big deal. Even Reddit has enough corners to find a spot for everyone.

I don’t even bother following too much news about the Coronavirus lately—honestly, both sides just end up getting on my nerves eventually.

Regarding TT, I don't really have a strong opinion one way or the other (though I don't think he's some villain like the Republican Party). I did mention before that I think his biggest headache is going to be staffing—he just doesn't have a massive pool of people to pull from. It seems like there are plenty of members or supporters tied to the Zlocinacka crowd, and honestly, a lot of people don't even want to touch the mess currently facing New York City—which, let's face it, is just the fallout from all that corruption involving Bandic and the Republican Party.
On the flip side, I've posted some total troll comments on other topics that didn't get flagged, yet these ones did. That's the mystery to me—if they're going to delete stuff, they should just go ahead and clear out everything that isn't strictly by the book, right?

Man, we just can't seem to dig ourselves out of this proverbial hole we're in.

For starters, it would be nice if people stopped lying...

This subforum is primarily intended for the "anti-vax" narrative. (Until you guys agree on another term, we'll stick with this widely accepted one, okay?)

Those who have been banned from posting on the other subforum are welcome to write here.

No, they can't. Why lie about it?

Even better would be, as a starting point, not quoting me

Also, it would be wise to include a link to the thread, from which (the original post) you c/p the text...

No. I have no reason to lie.

I am not at fault here:

Reddit > Society > Coronavirus > Skeptical Perspective

If you have a ban on coronavirus, 'enter' (without logging in) into Skeptical Perspective, then attempt to log in within one of those threads...
Maybe it works, maybe it doesn't—but why not try if that's what was promised...

Since this new sub-forum is the 'counterpart' to the Coronavirus forum, the bans (writing prohibitions - bans) issued due to previous posts on coronavirus shouldn't apply here—following the same logic that a ban on natural science shouldn't prevent posting on Alternatives.

Nice...... 🤣

Did you come up with this yourself, or did some whole trust of 'geniuses' work on something this 'perceptive' and 'witty'

Maybe post this on the meme thread.... we definitely need more of this high-level intellect there.....😁

Are you quoting another political commissar, one who wisely advocates for progress against the kulaks and reactionary citizens?
Or did you just make that up while listening to a political commissar drone on about progress and advancement versus the kulaks and reactionary citizens?

Yeah, sure, self-censorship is just great. Honestly, it's way better than actual censorship...

It might actually work, or it might be a total bust—but honestly, why wouldn't we give it a shot if the promises are that big?

Since when did this new subforum become the direct antithesis of the previous one? CoronavirusLook, let’s be clear about one thing: those penalties shouldn't even be in effect on it. It’s common sense. (Partial writing ban) What kind of nonsense was being spewed back in the day on Reddit? Coronavirus. By that same flawed logic—the same kind you'd see if someone tried to argue that a partial credit on a midterm at Harvard was the same thing as passing the entire course—you're missing the point entirely. Natural sciences. That shouldn't have any bearing on whether someone is allowed to write on this platform. Alternatives..

According to what the boss said, those penalties shouldn't even be active right now. But here we are—they are. If you only have partial access, you can't even log in to view that PDF. It’s a complete mess.
Either his brain wasn't up to operating temperature when he typed that we can post there, or he’s gone completely senile and doesn't realize what he's saying. Otherwise, he's just intentionally playing dumb to push some liberal agenda.

P.S.

And you’re spouting nonsense, too. It’s blindingly obvious that once we’re logged in, there is no other way to view the Skeptical perspective except through an unauthenticated lens. You know that the entire Coronavirus PDF becomes invisible to us the moment we log in, don't you? Or are you genuinely clueless? It honestly seems like even the CEO hasn't a clue—who exactly do you people think you're making fools of? Your main contribution is offering this idiotic advice about accessing it while logged out, but what else is there? What exactly do you think is possible?

And you too. (@coppersailor28) You’re talking nonsense. It’s obvious that because of my partial access, I can't view a skeptical perspective without being logged in. The entire PDF regarding the Coronavirus is invisible to us when we're logged in. You know that, right? Or do you not?Your main point is offering stupid advice about how we should enter without registering, rather than suggesting any actual alternative approach. What’s your take on that??

🤷 s No.boldanim Go. He’d probably go out of his way to treat those people with partial disabilities. Not me. He even offered some "advice" on how to access their hidden subforum while logged in—the one where they might actually be allowed to post. 🤷

So, what is the reality here? Did his brain fail to reach operating temperature when he claimed we could all contribute, has he lost his wits and forgotten his own words, or is he intentionally playing the part of the dim-witted liberal?

P.S.

And frankly, you are spouting nonsense. Is it not patently obvious to you that those of us with partial credits have no way of accessing the Skeptical perspective unless we remain logged out? Do you not realize that the entire Coronavirus PDF remains invisible to us even when we are logged in? Or are you truly that oblivious? It seems even the boss is in the dark—really, who are you people trying to make fools of? Your main contribution is offering the absurd advice that we should just access it while logged out, but how else would we do it, I ask you?

This is merely a technical glitch that is currently being addressed, and I am confident it will be resolved. As for what coppersailor28 is suggesting, I have no idea if it would even work, but the option for everyone who received partial credits to access the Coronavirus PDF will, hopefully, be fixed very soon, rendering such suggestions unnecessary.

Recovery. A concept we all cling to, yet one that remains so maddeningly elusive when we actually find ourselves in the thick of it, wouldn't you agree? It is one thing to speak of healing in the abstract—to wax poetic about resilience and the strength of the human spirit—but it is quite another to navigate the grueling, often unglamorous reality of pulling oneself back from the brink. Whether we are discussing the slow mend of a physical ailment or the painstaking reconstruction of a fractured psyche, is recovery not simply a series of small, quiet victories won against overwhelming odds? One wonders if we ever truly "arrive" at a state of being whole again, or if we are merely learning to dance more gracefully with our scars. kaže:
Good day to all the devoted fans of the work and legacy of James J. Kilpatrick—you can all go straight to hell.👍

🙄
Since they don't permit you to let loose with the profanity in real life, I suppose you’re finally taking this opportunity to vent every bit of pent-up frustration you've been holding back?
I truly empathize with your position; it is an exhausting ordeal when your own wife or mother meets your every word with such immediate, blistering hostility—especially when you are simply trying to express how suffocating it feels to live under that kind of relentless pressure.
Just leave it to me; we’re right here to lend a hand. 😘

Look, "motherfucker" is an insult. It's a curse word. In any form, any context, any way you slice it.

I mean, just try saying half of that phrase to a professor, a priest, a cop, the Prime Minister, or your own dad—you aren't going to have a good time, no matter what your original thought, intention, or "link" was supposed to be.

Those "cult classic" one-liners are almost exclusively used as inside jokes.
