Beard acne/bumps

Hi everyone, I’ve been dealing with this for a little while now. I was really hoping my beard growth would kick in soon, but it just hasn't happened. To be specific, I’ve developed these circular patches on my beard where absolutely nothing is growing. They’re about 2 to 3 cm in diameter; they started out tiny, but they've steadily expanded over time. What’s even weirder is that some thin, white hairs have started popping up inside these circles, yet the actual beard hair refuses to grow there. Has anyone here dealt with something similar, and if so, what can I do to get the growth back on track? Does anyone have a clue what might be causing this? I’ve been doing some digging online—some people suggest various creams, and I even stumbled upon a tip suggesting you should aggressively rub garlic on the area to fix everything. It’s most likely some kind of fungal infection like Tinea capitis, but honestly, you can't be sure until a doctor actually takes a look and runs some tests under a microscope... if that's what it is, they usually go with Griseofulvin tablets. It's a solid fungistat, but here's the thing—you have to take it orally. Just slapping cream on it won't cut it because the meds need to hit the hair follicle right at the root... They also use Fluconazole, which is great because you don't have to take it for nearly as long, but it's pricier and carries a bit more risk for liver toxicity.

So yeah, you really need to see a dermatologist... unless you're looking to lose even more hair.
