Best CPU under $150?

Will this work with my ASUS Prime Motherboard? Also, where’s the best spot to order from if I want it delivered straight to my doorstep? 🙂

If you get lucky, you might snag an Intel Core i5 3570 paired with a motherboard for around $150-$$533. Just keep in mind that the Intel Core i5 alone usually runs about $433. You see these 3570s popping up on Craigslist all the time; they’re solid chips, and if you can score one with a warranty, even better. That said, this specific processor won't fit your current motherboard. But hey, if you find a bundle with both the board and the CPU, it's definitely worth looking into.

Do you happen to know of any decent websites out there? Maybe something reliable?

I haven't really messed around with AMD processors before, but honestly, Intel Core i5 chips are pretty solid little things. 🙂

The reason I suggested this is because I wasn't sure if an AMD chip at the same price point would underperform. I'm definitely no AMD expert, but in my book, Intel Core i5s are great. 🙂

So, I’m currently running an NVIDIA GeForce GTX 750—and honestly, it's been a decent little workhorse for me—but I was wondering if it would actually play nice with an ASRock H81M-DGS motherboard? It's an Intel H81, Micro-ATX, featuring Dual Channel DDR3 at 1600MHz... does that setup sound like a viable match to you guys?

I don't see why that wouldn't work for you. It’s just a graphics card... they pretty much fit into any setup, right? As long as the motherboard has a PCIe x16 slot—which it does, so everything should be 👍
