Best laptop for developers?

Can someone point me toward a laptop that won't be obsolete in three to five years? I want something that actually lasts.

Use case:
Mainly .NET dev using Microsoft. On top of that, I'll be running SQL Server. I need to run about 3-4 VS instances simultaneously, one SQL server, and maybe a couple of Node.js servers.

Size:
13" to 15"

Preferences:
Apple, Dell, then HP.

Storage:
256GB SSD

RAM:
8-16GB

Graphics aren't a priority—just nothing with a glare and enough ports to hook up a second monitor. No gaming or heavy GPU tasks here.

CPU:
Preferably 4-core, 7th gen or better (not a hard requirement).

Yeah, seems like a safe bet to me. They'll probably end up needing another 8 frames.

Agreed. I’d much rather see them hit 16 instead of just 8. We'll definitely see 12, but it'll likely land at 16 once those extra 8 come through.
