Best wireless signal boosters?

So, I’m looking to pick up some kind of signal booster because I’ve got travelers hanging out right below my place, and since the connection is pretty much non-existent, I was wondering if anyone here has actually messed around with this kind of stuff before. I was eyeing the Linksys N640 specifically, but honestly, I have no clue if that's actually going to do anything or if I'm just throwing money away. What do you guys think? Thanks.

Does anyone happen to know where I can find the login credentials for my range extender?

So, here's the deal—I picked up a TP-Link extender a few months back, and honestly, it’s been working like a charm. But there's this one annoying little hiccup... every single time I try to connect a new laptop to the Wi-Fi, it starts demanding a username and password. And me? I haven't the slightest clue where those details are tucked away! :/

You need to log into your router's settings to check the network name and password. That’s where you manage how everything connects to your network. Some routers have a physical button on the front—if you hit that, it enters a sort of registration mode for about a minute, letting anyone nearby connect without manually typing in credentials. I'm not sure if yours works that way or not.

Basically, start with the router's manual. It'll tell you exactly how to access the setup interface, including the specific username and password you need just to get into the settings in the first place. If you don't have those or can't find them, just give your ISP's customer service a call...

So, I gave AT&T a call, but they basically told me they couldn't do anything without the specific username and password for my range extender

It’s probably just some factory default setting. Just Google the specific model number and look up the default USN and password... Or check the manual; it should be in there somewhere. By the way, isn't it usually printed on the bottom of the amplifier?
