Bleeding during menopause: Is this normal?

Ugh, I seriously need some advice here, guys! So, I have this friend who’s 59, and she hasn't had a period in about five years now—so she’s definitely been through menopause for quite a while. But out of nowhere, she’s started dealing with these really intense abdominal pains and, like, sudden bleeding again. Does anyone actually know why that might happen? Has anyone ever dealt with something like this before? I guess I'm just worried. 😢

Man, that sounds really bad. Like, seriously not good.
She needs to get to a doctor right now!
My mom went through the exact same thing. Some pain, some bleeding... and she just kept waiting. She waited and waited, and then waited a little longer, and it dragged on for two whole years. Now she’s stuck doing chemo and radiation, and honestly, things aren't looking great 😢.
I don't want to freak you out or anything, but please, tell her to get those tests done immediately!

Could someone please offer some guidance? My mother is 53, and since she went through menopause a few years ago, she suddenly experienced bleeding again recently.
She’s currently dealing with a pelvic infection; she visited her doctor because of the pain, had an ultrasound performed, and was prescribed antibiotics to treat the inflammation.
I’m feeling quite anxious because this kind of bleeding shouldn't be happening at her age, according to what I've read online.
She stays current with her Pap smears, though she does have uterine fibroids.
Is this something we should be deeply concerned about? What steps should we take next, especially since she doesn't seem to view the situation as serious?
