Hey everyone.
So, I picked up an HDMI cable and plugged it into my graphics card (an old ATI 6850) and my TV (just some random Vizio)... and every once in a while, my internet just cuts out completely. Like, the Wi-Fi just dies on me.
Then, when I try to reboot the PC after that happens, I get hit with a Blue Screen of Death saying "driver_power_state_failure".

The weird thing is, as soon as I unplug that cable from the TV, everything goes back to normal. Works perfectly. 🙂
Has anyone else run into this kind of mess? If you have... how did you fix it?

Just to be safe, I’d recommend doing a clean reinstall of your graphics drivers—try to grab the latest version directly from the manufacturer's website, as they usually bundle the HDMI drivers in there too.

If you find it isn't a driver issue, here is a link with some general troubleshooting steps regarding that specific error: link

I found this link that talks about that specific error in general, so give it a look if the drivers don't do the trick: link

I'll give it a shot once I get home from work and let you know how it goes...
