If I just say "bowling," would you all know which sport I’m talking about? And is there a different, more technical way we refer to it here in the States? My boyfriend and I are constantly bickering over the terminology, so if any experts out there could weigh in, I would truly appreciate the info!

Bob is just Bob... I can't think of any other way to put it.

I mean, he insists his name is Bob Sledge, if I recall correctly, but I distinctly remember watching him on TV and everyone just calling him "Bob." Honestly, when he finally reads this, I am going to give him such a hard time!

No way, I'm not doing that! Honestly, my only goal here is to prove that if you just say "Bob," people will actually know exactly what you're talking about. That's really all there is to it.
