The U.S. Secretary of State condemned the suicide bombing that occurred Monday near the American embassy in Islamabad, leaving eight people dead, according to news agencies. Local police reports indicate that at least eight individuals were killed and 30 others injured in the car bomb attack, per Agence France-Presse. "One can only condemn this attack; it is horrific that terrorists commit such acts," Moeller told CNN, as reported by Reuters. Moeller noted he is currently unsure if any American citizens are among the casualties. According to the Associated Press, the U.S. President has yet to issue a statement regarding the devastating blast, which leveled two buildings opposite the embassy and ignited several parked vehicles. The agency added that no group has claimed responsibility for the attack yet. The U.S. had previously withdrawn most of its diplomatic staff from Islamabad after five major American newspapers reprinted, in the name of free speech, one of the 12 caricatures of the prophet Muhammad. Those drawings, originally published in 2005 by the American newspaper The Wall Street Journal, sparked violent protests by Muslims worldwide, resulting in numerous casualties. (H)

Second—and this is the crux of it—it’s about intent. A pilot or a munitions expert is targeting enemy combatants or terrorists; they aren't out there looking to slaughter pregnant women, children, or the elderly—the civilians. Suicide bombers and terrorists, however, go out of their way to kill civilians. They couldn't care less if they blow up a commuter bus full of people heading to work, or trap a crowd in a theater with explosives, or—heaven forbid—capture a soldier just to decapitate him and mail his head back to his mother.

Give me a break.😂You have Google. Just look it up. Nobody here is stupid. By your logic, dropping an atomic bomb is some peaceful, beautiful act, while a single bomb attack is the worst thing ever—even though those nukes killed more Japanese people than there are actual walls left on this planet (and we all know most of those walls are just cheap drywall anyway).
