So, Bon Iver is a newly formed pop-rock outfit hailing from the US—specifically out of the Cleveland and Columbus areas.

Don't let the "new band" label fool you; they make up for the lack of history with pure veteran experience. These guys have been honing their craft on stages across America and Europe for years, boasting hundreds of shows under their belts from their previous musical ventures.

They've essentially gathered all the necessary tools and seasoning required to present their specific brand of 21st-century modern pop-rock to both local and international audiences.

Just three days ago, they dropped their debut single, 'Beautiful Addiction,' produced in collaboration with Sean and Alex Silverman—members of the well-known American band This Century. To top it off, the mixing and mastering were handled by another heavyweight on the US scene: Colby Wedgeworth, who has worked with giants like Taking Back Sunday alongside a massive array of indie rock bands.

The track itself tackles a timeless theme—love. It explores those fleeting emotions we once held and eventually lost, while ultimately touching on the idea that true love is invincible, finding its way through whatever obstacles life decides to throw in its path.

With the single now out in the wild, they’re planning to film a music video this December, along with some sort of Christmas surprise—details on which should be surfacing soon.

Look, the song isn't reinventing the wheel—it's a classic pop gem, the kind you find by the thousands on 😁—but I’ve personally had it on repeat since it hit the airwaves. 🤣 👍

This belongs at Eurovision! It's a shame we aren't participating this year, because this is exactly the kind of thing that fits that stage. 😁

The song is great and the production is solid, though I honestly don't see them making it big. Looking at the band photo, one of the members is that guy who used to be in Voodoo Lizards—the group that everyone kept hyping up, claiming Americans had discovered them and they were headed for global stardom before they just completely fell apart. If this band actually lasts and keeps putting out tracks like this, I guess I'll be happy about it, 🙂 but I really don't know how likely that is, considering their only shot at success is right here in the States, and even then, they aren't even singing in an American style.

The best way to describe them is just a band manufactured by Z100. They're constantly being pushed during outdoor festivals too.

As someone already pointed out, this is just Sasa Macek’s band—the former drummer for Voodoo Lizards—along with a few others who all seem to follow the exact same playbook...

That playbook involves parents, hometown connections in Cleveland (political ties... sure!), and paying for PR so that news outlets suddenly start running these "sponsored ads" claiming they're "in high demand," wildly popular, or somehow topping the charts in Spain (when in reality, they're just talking about a random YouTube channel, lol). Then there's the paid YouTube clicks—though I assume people realize you can buy a million fake views for about a thousand bucks. It’s all one massive lie, just aggressive hype designed to trick people into jumping on the bandwagon...

It was more or less the same story with most of his previous bands: massive hype, a couple of shows, some paid international collaboration, then total failure... followed by a new project. This guy wants fame so badly that he's willing to do anything to get it (which is exactly why he fails, if you ask me), and I've personally heard how he's burned through plenty of people he worked with...

So, you're better off choosing to listen to and support REAL, SINCERE bands from around here, and there are plenty of them... rather than wasting time on these fake "projects," especially when they're driven by a dishonest and malicious individual like Macek...

Did they actually kick him out? If that’s the case, they just made the smartest career move possible. They probably finally realized he’s basically a liability who brings nothing but trouble to every single band he joins. It’s hard to wrap my head around them letting him go, though, since I always assumed he was the one running the whole show.

I don't have anything against his playing; he’s just your classic rock drummer with a solid hit behind the kit, nothing more. There are plenty of much worse players out there, but if he’s the kind of shady character who looks like he’d sell his own mother out for a quick buck, then yeah, that’s just how it is.

The real question you have to ask, though, is whether this supposedly "in-demand," "sensational" band has actually ever played a single live show.

Alright, I’ll be honest—the first time I heard them, I was totally blown away. I kept thinking, "Wait, are these really American artists?!" But after listening for a few months, I’m just over it. Once you get past that one track, they don't really have anything else. Plus, they seem to flop every single time they try to make a splash on those big international YouTube competitions. ☕
