I’ve been dealing with a major issue for seven years now. It’s reached a point where it’s becoming unbearable, and I'm honestly at a loss for what to do.
Whenever I sit down, the surface feels like it's burning me. It’s an intense sensation of heat and stinging. It makes it impossible to enjoy a cup of coffee, sit down for lunch, or get any work done while seated. Lately, things have gotten even worse—I can’t even lie on my back because the pressure on my glutes is too much. The feeling only subsides when I stand up, walk around, or stay on my feet.
I saw a dermatologist, who found a few papules on my backside. They prescribed two different creams, but nothing has worked. If anything, the situation has worsened; those papules sometimes swell up and develop white, pus-filled heads. Usually, a few of them flare up during a particularly bad episode. So far, the only diagnostic step I've taken was a pressure test.
It would be incredibly helpful if anyone here has dealt with something similar so we could share experiences. Getting a definitive diagnosis would make everything so much easier. Does it make sense to seek out a neurologist? Any help at all would be appreciated, even if it just helps ease this unbearable condition.
I’ll truly appreciate any responses or advice you can offer.
Thanks

It sounds like pudendal neuralgia. If you’re searching in English, try googling "pudendal neuralgia"—you'll find plenty of advice and personal accounts there to see if your symptoms align. Regardless, go see a neurologist. If it is indeed neuralgia, they can prescribe nerve pain medication to at least take the edge off. Don't let it go if the first doctor you see dismisses it or looks puzzled; this diagnosis isn't always top-of-mind for every specialist in the US.
Obviously, this is all speculation, but a neurologist is your best bet. Good luck.

Thanks for the advice about seeing a neurologist. I’ll definitely keep your words in mind and won't give up on finding answers. The diagnosis you're suspecting always seems to center on pain, based on what I can gather. But the thing is, I don't feel pain, and I don't have any issues with my physiological functions at all. To reiterate, whenever I sit down, I constantly have to shift around. The surface I move onto quickly starts feeling like it's burning. Sometimes there isn't even a specific spot; it just spreads to my thighs. Even those aren't spared. A pressure test came back negative, which is frustrating because that exact sensation of pressure is what's killing me.
I'd love to hear from anyone dealing with something similar, if not identical. From what I've been reading, what I'm describing is actually quite rare.

Richard Jones69 said:Thanks so much for the nudge to see a neurologist—I’m definitely going to keep those words in mind and not just brush them off. The diagnosis you’re hinting at... man, everything I’ve read about it seems to revolve around pain. But here’s the thing—I don't actually feel "pain." It’s not even that my bodily functions are acting up or anything like that. It’s more of this constant restlessness—like, whenever I sit down, I absolutely have to keep shifting around. And the surface I move to? It quickly starts feeling like it's burning. Sometimes it's just my thighs, and sometimes it hits other spots too. I even had a pressure test done, and it came back totally negative—which is wild, because honestly, it’s that very sensation of pressure that’s driving me crazy.
I’d really love to hear from anyone out there dealing with something similar, if not the exact same thing. From what I've been reading online, what I'm describing sounds pretty rare.
Best,

Hey
Has anyone actually found a solution yet!?
