Buying a new PC

Hey, not sure if I'm even in the right sub for this, but whatever...
Basically, I’m looking to pick up a cheap PC for under $200. It's strictly for browsing the web. If anyone can point me in the right direction on what to look for, I'd appreciate it. 👍

One GIGABYTE GA-H81M-S2V mATX motherboard. It’s got an LGA 1150 socket, DDR3 support, VGA/DVI outputs, USB 3.0, LAN, and SATA III. Basic stuff.
One Intel Celeron G1820.
One black MS PHOENIX 2 case, no power supply included.
One Fortron Hexa+ 400W, 80+.
One SanDisk Z400s 256GB SSD, 2.5” 7mm, SATA 6 Gbit/s—$60.
One stick of Kingston ValueRAM DDR3 (8GB, 1600MHz CL11) from Walmart.
Total: $650

One with an LGA 1151 socket and DDR4 RAM.

I've got one ASROCK H110M-DGS on hand—standard LGA 1151 socket, supports DDR4. Simple, reliable little board.
I've got one Intel Pentium G4400 on hand—3.30 GHz with a 3MB cache, running on the LGA 1151 socket.
I've got a single 8GB stick of DDR4 RAM on hand—specifically that PC3-17000 2133MHz CL15 kit from Crucial. Just one module if anyone's looking to patch up an old rig.
Just one 1TB WD Blue HDD. It’s a standard 3.5" drive running at 7200RPM with a 64MB cache via SATA3. Nothing fancy, just a reliable workhorse for extra storage.
Just picked up a single Fortron Hexa 400W 80+ unit.
I've got one MS Voyager MIDI tower up for grabs.

this one, but swap the HDD for an SSD if they aren't hoarding tons of movies or whatever
I'd grab a new Pentium instead of the old Celeron since the integrated graphics actually have some teeth, and there isn't much of a price jump for the whole rig anyway.

The Pentium g4400 is definitely newer and better than that ancient dual core.

The list above looks better organized, this one is just a weak setup

AMD A4 X2 4020, 3200/3400 MHz, Socket FM2
A68HM motherboard, Socket FM2+.
4 GB DDR3 RAM, 1600 MHz.
The AMD Radeon 7480D graphics.
500GB HDD.
DVD burner, SATA.
Case and a 400W power supply.

Honestly, any complex build you mentioned would beat yours by a mile. If it were me, I’d probably just grab the one with the Pentium G4400; it'd likely crush those dual-core AMD builds.

It crushes even weaker 4-core chips, putting it right in the same league as beefier APUs like the A6-7400K.

The A6-7400K is basically just a dual-core m8.

Look, I meant it'll crush those weak 4-core chips—I can't remember the exact names of those FM1 quad-core losers off the top of my head.
The A6-7400K is dual core, sure, but it still beats out the Sempron and that A4 series.
My bad, phrased that poorly. What I meant was it'll outperform much pricier AMD APUs, even the cheap quad-core ones.

The A8-7600 is a quad-core AMD chip, which makes it $200 a pretty decent pick if you want budget gaming. The integrated graphics actually get the job done, plus you've got those four cores...

In gaming, the x4 860k barely lags behind and is almost on par with the Pentium G4400

Look, if someone's just buying a PC for browsing the web, they don't need an A6-ice

A Pentium is plenty, honestly, even a Celeron would get the job done fine.

That was mostly about how they were absolutely crushing those quad-core AMD processors...

Look at what I wrote. I agree that the Pentium is right up there with the Athlone; in certain games, the x4 and better chips actually hold their own.
