Can't delete a file?

So, I was grabbing a movie via torrent, right? But halfway through, I just changed my mind and killed the download. Now, when I head over to my Downloads folder to just wipe out the directory where that movie was sitting, the system won't let me touch it. It’s like it’s locked. And get this—whenever I try to hit delete, my entire PC just freezes up completely. Total meltdown. I have to go full scorched earth and force a hard shutdown by holding down the power button just to get anything done again.
How the hell am I supposed to get rid of this file?🤔

You might have forgotten to close out your torrent client. If that’s not the issue, try temporarily disabling your antivirus and giving it another shot. If you're still stuck, you can always grab an "Unlocker" tool—just right-click the file and select the option to delete with Unlocker. Another solid workaround is booting up in Safe Mode.

I already shut down the torrent client. I even tried deleting it from Safe Mode, but my computer just completely glitched out there too. What am I even supposed to do when the OS starts acting up like that?

You really just had to uncheck it in the torrent client so it wouldn't show up on the list—and that would have been that. 😁
