Hey there!

So I've got this Gigabyte motherboard and I'm trying to swap out the CPU. I need to flash the BIOS to version F-16 Fighting Falcon just so I can actually use the Intel Core i7-2600K. I still have the original disc for the board that has a BIOS update wizard on it, but it keeps saying it can't find anything. So, I guess I just downloaded the BIOS file manually and tried running it... now I'm kind of not sure if it actually worked 😢
Quick question though—where am I supposed to check which BIOS version I'm currently running?
I tried restarting my PC a few times, but I keep missing that split second during bootup where the BIOS info usually pops up 😢

Thanks so much for any help 🙂

Actually, I looked under Accessories/System Information... and found the BIOS version 😉. Looks like the update went through successfully 😉.

By the way, you can always just check your BIOS version directly within the BIOS settings themselves 😁 If you’d rather use a little software to do the legwork, try grabbing CPU-Z. Once you get it installed, just head over to the "Mainboard" tab—it'll show you exactly which BIOS version you're running right there. Just thought I'd mention it for next time.
