Has anyone checked this out yet? What's the verdict on the movie?

I honestly don't think I'll even get a chance to see it since it's unlikely to hit theaters here in Indianapolis... I did catch the last one, though, and man, it was dumb. But it was the kind of dumb that actually had me laughing my head off... 😁

Actually, I think it’s quite the opposite.

I guess Ronny Yu's quartet is honestly one of the best examples of self-parody I've ever seen. Maybe it's just me, but there's something about how it leans into its own absurdity... it really works.

The movie was honestly such a pleasant, unexpected surprise. I guess I wasn't really expecting much, but it ended up being quite a nice little ride. 👍

I noticed they stuck with a pretty similar approach for the fourth one too—you know, that scene featuring Britney Spears. 🤣 I guess I'll definitely give it a watch, though I'll probably just stick to a Blu-ray or something... honestly, I don't have that much faith in the movie. 😉)

Looks like they took that same approach with the fourth one too (that scene with Britney Spears 🤣 ), so I'm definitely adding it to my list. I'll probably just wait until it hits streaming though—I don't quite trust the movie enough to hit the theater for it. 😉

Oh, and what are the other movies in the series called? I'm feeling too lazy to look them up myself... 😬

This movie is absolute gold—pure entertainment. Before heading into the theater, I was scrolling through some threads on Phantasmagoria and saw people joking about how much fun the production was. I didn't bother checking the box office numbers, but honestly, a sequel is definitely coming our way 😎

The absolute highlight of that movie for me? That moment when the guy steps out into the street and gets absolutely leveled by a truck... haha! I was laughing my head off!

Absolute disaster. Just awful.

I had such high hopes for this sequel. I was really expecting a hilarious dark horror comedy, but instead, this turned out to be the absolute WORST entry in the Child's Play series 😢 (honestly, the others aren't even close 😉 to being this bad 🙂; I just rewatched Child's Play 2 recently and, personally, I think it's a freaking masterpiece 😁). It feels way too digital and over-processed—it honestly comes off like one BIG BAD JOKE (more like an internet midquel). It’s just bad. TRAGIC.
