Hey everyone,
I'm starting this thread because I need help finding some new speakers to replace my current setup...

Right now, I'm running MS ML-T508 units that I picked up about five or six years ago, and honestly, they sound like they’re on their last legs.

Just so we're clear, these new speakers will be hooked up to a laptop. That means I'm definitely not looking at any 5.1 surround systems—there's no point in paying for channels I can't even use. Plus, the room I'll be putting them in is only about 200 square feet, so a massive speaker setup would just be a total space hog.
That said, if a killer deal pops up, I might consider picking up an external sound card to level things up...

Bottom line: I'm looking for a solid 2.1 system with a budget of around $110.

I'm open to suggestions, or if you guys have some favorites you swear by, let me know. 🙂

Z!

logitech Z4 if you're actually dead set on a 2.1 setup
you’re basically paying the same amount for some 2.0 system that is absolute garbage.

So, I’ve gotta throw a quick question out there to you guys... I might have the chance to snag these Genius speakers for $167

I totally get that they’re a full 5.1 setup, but I’m seriously torn—is it actually worth going all out on those, or am I better off just grabbing this Logitech Z4 2.1 system instead?
